POSITION: Sociology Adjunct Instructor

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time position based on semester system. Fall Semester 2024 at the Marietta and/or North Metro Campus. Evenings Mon-Fri (6:00-7:15 PM) and/or Saturday mornings (10:30-11:45 AM). Adjunct faculty responsibilities are centered on preparing and teaching classes as assigned. Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on college needs.

NOTE: Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with 18 graduate semester hours in Sociology coursework.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills.

· A minimum one-year teaching experience. Face-to-face and online teaching experience strongly preferred.

SALARY/BENEFITS

· Salary, $2,300 per course, per semester

· No benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
